As some of you have noticed, there is no longer a note button on the user page (or any user page); this is because, due to spamming, DA have revamped the note system. To send a note now you'll have to go to your message centers note section and enter the name of your intended recipient (e.g. soul-perfume).

Just a reminder that the deadline for our Duality contest has been changed to the 22nd of November to give you all a chance to write your pieces. I'm considering extending the deadline to two weeks after each contest is announced permanently; let me know what you all think.


Don't forget that the monthly theme at gives you an opportunity to show the group your work without the restrains of contest rules. You may submit old or new work. Our current theme is roots.

The new theme will be announced at the beginning of december.

We have a new feature! Member Biographies give you the chance to introduce yourself to the group more thoroughly than our standard profile does. There are three categories of questions for you to answer: questions which will give people a deeper insight into your writing, questions which will let you tell people about yourself, and questions about soul-perfume, of course, which let us know what you like, dislike and would like to change/develop in the group. Submitting your biography will also earn you 15 points.

Let me know your thoughts on this new feature.

I'd like to introduce to the group our new submissions manager ~zeaphyra! She has been an active member of the group (the most active I'd say) since it's resurrection so I think it is fitting that she should be promoted to manager status. ~zeaphyra will be handling all your submission notes, submitting your contest and theme entries to the gallery, and making sure our new members are comfortable with the submissions system. So please direct all queries specifically regarding submissions to her via note to ~soul-perfume, she will answer them as soon as she can.
